Holiday Honor Card

11/01/10

The Honor Card is a beautifully designed greeting card, offered through the generosity of NC artist William Mangum, who graciously paints a contemplative piece each year to grace the front of the card. Through his advocacy other resources have been brought to bear, making The Honor Card available to participating homeless shelters in North Carolina at no cost to use for fundraising during the holiday season.

With a donation of $5 or more, a person receives an Honor Card that he or she inscribes to someone they wish to “honor” during the holiday season. The Honor Card informs the recipient that a gift has been given in their honor to Greenville Community Shelters, Inc. to help the hungry and homeless in our community.

The Honor Card can be used as a primary greeting for business associates, family, or friends. It is also an economical and meaningful gift for those whom you are not sure how to recognize during the season, or for that person who already has everything.

Past recipients of The Honor Card state:

“I was so touched to receive such a meaningful gift.”

“When I received The Honor Card it reminded me what the holiday season is really   about.”

“What a great gift! I will give this myself in future seasons.”

“My son’s teacher told me how moved she was to receive such a special gift.”
