Greenville Community Shelter would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful youth group from Congregation Bayt Shalom for spending an afternoon filled with fun, creativity, and laughter with the children and teens at our shelter.
Seven children, ranging in age from 2 to 17, along with two parents, participated in a variety of exciting fall-themed activities. The afternoon was filled with creativity and smiles as everyone enjoyed making handprint spiders, stained paper spider webs, bookmarks, and decorating small wooden pumpkins. The children also had a wonderful time playing "Pin the Smile on the Jack-o'-Lantern," enjoying a snack, and receiving glow-in-the-dark masks or glasses to take home.
The smiles, laughter, and excitement made the afternoon truly special for everyone involved.
We are incredibly grateful to Congregation Bayt Shalom for sharing their time, kindness, and creativity with our shelter families. Activities like these provide our children with opportunities to have fun, express their creativity, build friendships, and create lasting memories.
At Greenville Community Shelter, we believe that community involvement makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve. Volunteers like the Congregation Bayt Shalom youth group help create a welcoming and supportive environment while reminding our residents that their community cares about them.
Thank you, Congregation Bayt Shalom, for your generosity, compassion, and willingness to make a difference. Your kindness brought joy to our shelter families, and we truly appreciate everything you did to make this afternoon so memorable!
